Joseph “Joe” Raymond begins his Arkansas Wolves journey with championship pedigree, USL League Two experience, and a defensive identity built around communication, composure, leadership, and presence from the back.

Joe’s journey begins in Wilmington, Delaware and includes one of the strongest accomplishments among the Wolves’ current group of signings.
At Amherst College, he became an NCAA Division III national champion in 2024 — gaining firsthand experience of the preparation, discipline, sacrifice, and collective mentality required to win at the highest level.
He continued his development through USL League Two, competing with West Seattle Junction FC and Maple Valley Bigfoot FC.
Those senior-level minutes helped prepare Joe for his next step. Now he begins his professional journey with Arkansas Wolves, focused on developing every day, competing, helping the team win, and establishing himself as a commanding presence from the back.

Joe sees communication and presence as essential parts of playing center back. His job is not simply to defend. It is to organize the players around him, compete for every moment, and provide leadership from the back throughout the match.

At 6’4″ and naturally left-footed, Joe gives the Wolves physical presence and balance at center back, backed by a mentality centered on communication and organization.

Winning a national championship at Amherst gave Joe direct experience of what successful teams demand: preparation, accountability, resilience, and belief in the players around you.

Joe was part of Amherst College’s 2024 NCAA Division III national championship team.
That experience matters because championship environments demand more than talent. They require consistency, preparation, accountability, trust, and the ability to perform when the stakes are highest.
Joe now carries that experience into Arkansas as the Wolves continue building a culture that expects to compete for meaningful results.
